About Skye

Blue Skye Landscaping, LLC has evolved over a lifetime of Skye's joy of being outdoors. She spent her youth playing in rivers catching fish with bare hands and identifying every bird, bug, or plant she could find. This grew more when in high school, she spent all her time in the greenhouse and in forestry class.
Making sense she went off to learn everything she could about landscaping at Portland Community College and on June 8, 2007 graduated with her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Landscape Technology and three certificates one as a Landscape Services Technician, another for Landscape Construction, and lastly a Landscape Management Certificate. She also obtained two Management Awards one for Leadership and the other is for Management/ Supervision. She completed her standard Landscape Contractor's License in 2012 and her All Phase Contractor's License in 2018.
After College she worked for a few different landscape companies as a Project Manager, Department Manager, and Landscape Designer and gained a great deal of experience from it. But finding that she had a different idea of enhancing ones landscape she wanted to do it herself. In her own company she didn't have to use harmful pesticides and she could make her focus on enhancing her clients landscapes and not about just making money off them. She wants the impact she makes on her planet and her clients to be a positive long lasting one.
She loves landscaping but her focus has alway been on preserving her ecosystems so she completed the OSU Watershed Stewardship Education Program becoming a Master Watershed Steward. She enjoys helping with watershed clean ups and plantings with the Yamhill Basin Council. As well as teach young ones plant identification and she even wrote a native plant id book to do so.
She hopes she can help you with your landscape design, landscaping, and maintenance needs.
On top of loving Landscaping. Skye love's to make art of all sorts: Jewelry, stuff animals, paintings, photography, feather healing stone earrings, and more. Check out the arts and craft page for more information.
